'Rotate and change the perspective'
This is the first of eight events that rr-dialogues will organise during a one-year residency at Kulturfolger, Zürich.
rr-dialogues is the collaborative research platform of architecture collective rotative research, founded in november 2017 by architects Alexandra Sonnemans and Caterina Viguera (based respectively in Rotterdam and Zürich).
The platform exists in parallel to their work practice, with the aim to expand and exchange knowledge on a variety of architectural topics. The first topic ‘Materialisation of intentions’ has been ongoing since april 2018 on the digital platform: www.rr-dialogues.org.
MATERIALISATION OF INTENTIONS
Within the 'city in transformation' we find a wide range of large scale publication methods that inform us about the new developments that re-shape our cities. These temporary infrastructures offer a wide spectrum of readings and become suggestions for us to imagine the potential impact on site.
What is the relation between intentions and their materialisation on site?
Since the platform's launch in april 2017, over twenty-five authors from different disciplines and cities have joined, combining theoretical, artistic and empirical research. Pavle Stamenovic, architect and Phd candidate based in Belgrade, is a 'special guest editor'.
'rr-dialogues in residency 2019', will use the space of Kulturfolger every 6 weeks, to develop and implement the 'dialogues' into a growing exhibition, including spatial installations and open round tables with special guests.
8 February 19h: OPENING by Alexandra, Caterina and Pavle, followed by a PRESENTATION & DRINKS
9 February 16h: OPEN ROUND TABLE & WORKSHOP
