1. Universalfilter (feat. Biggles, Tim, Kid Schurke) (CH) - Album Release Show!!!
2. Joel Gilardini (Ambient Guitar) (CH)
Joel Gilardini is an experimental guitarist and sound designer, based in Zurich (Switzerland). Being a self-tough guitarist, and driven by the urge and the will to experiment with sounds, Joel followed a very peculiar path which lead him over a broad range of soundfields, touching different musical attitudes and genres like metal, ambient, doom, dub, and noise. By using live‐looping, improvisation and instant composition techniques, Joel creates a very unique biosphere, where these elements are constantly blended together, giving birth and shape to continuously morphing soundscapes and moods. Involved in various projects, he is well known for his live-ambient-guitar sets as an opening act for Nik Bärtsch’s Ronin (ECM) in Zurich’s clubs, as well as being the mastermind behind the experimental-doom-metal act The Land Of The Snow and part of the noise-industrial duo Mulo Muto (together with Attila Folklor, from grindpunkers Insomnia Isterica). He has worked and collaborated with names in the like of She Retina Stimulants, Aborym, Mingle, Nicolas Stocker, Eraldo Bernocchi, Jacopo Pierazzuoli, Ballett Zurich, dancer Benoît Favre, and the collective House Of Pain.
Looking down from David Bowie‘s space capsule you can see her. Our blue planet, bathed by her oceans. On one of these people are drowning. On another one there‘s an island, home to a volcano and an odd orange coloured mushroom of gigantic proportions. It smells of great promise while poisonous to our stomachs. Whoever takes a bite will turn into a giant and will trample all creation with his monstrous feet. But maybe the volcano will act quicker than that. It already seems to start seething.
Welcome to «Mysterious Island». The place where Universalfilter are sitting on a shore, tossing a letter in a bottle into the sea. The bottle is filled with the island‘s exotic sounds. In order to find those sounds, Universalfilter have felt the pulse of that faraway place and have listened to its plasterer bees‘ galvanic hum. They have even managed to capture Captain Nemo‘s final breath.
Universalfilter dig their feet deep into the sand while a dog keeps barking into a hole. «Can there be any good world populated by mankind?», they ask the dog. The only answer however is given them by the seething volcano, opening up and spilling its hot contents across the island. David Bowie is watching this eruption from his space capsule. Soon Earth will lose her blue colour. Soon she will glow in firey hues. Soon she will be orange.
